Meg Novak, CPM, LDM & Clinical Herbalist

Meg Novak, Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), Licensed Direct Entry Midwife (LDM) and Clinical Herbalist

Meg Novak brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm as a staff midwife to Bella Vie Gentle Birth Center. Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Meg has dedicated the past two decades of her life to supporting birthing families in various capacities.

Her journey into the world of birth work began in community doula programs, where she honed her skills and passion for assisting families during childbirth. Notably, she played a pivotal role as a founding member of the Minnesota Prison Doula Project, a noble endeavor that offers prenatal education and doula support to incarcerated women in the state.

After a decade as a community doula, Meg felt a calling to take her commitment to empowering birthing families to the next level. This led her to embark on the path of midwifery in 2013, where she could provide holistic, evidence-based care to those in need. Meg firmly believes that birth is a sacred and transformative process that can be elevated with the right support and care.

Her emphasis on relationship-building within midwifery underscores her belief that communities grow stronger through these connections. She's convinced that empowered birth experiences contribute to empowered parents, thereby strengthening the fabric of our communities.

Beyond her dedication to midwifery, Meg is also a clinical herbalist. She finds joy in spending time with plants, both in the great outdoors and in the art of crafting herbal medicines. Her herbal knowledge will undoubtedly enrich the lives of the families she encounters at Bella Vie.

Outside of her professional life, Meg cherishes moments spent with her grown and nearly grown teenage sons. She is an avid traveler, dedicated to improving her Spanish language skills, and she finds solace in dancing and hiking—whether along scenic beaches or in the heart of nature's trails.
